This One Day Workshop on the Sunday will be an intro to Deb’s decorative machine applique techniques and an opportunity to learn her NEW foundation Crazy Wedge Patchwork construction. 

Deb is extremely knowledgeable about all sewing machines and their capabilities. In this project you will learn an incredible amount about your machine, needles, threads, decorative stitch capabilities, stabilisers and solving TENSION issues. (!!) This knowledge is key to making consistently good and well-made work and not jumping out the window while you’re trying! 

Deborah knows Bernina machines inside out!  Deb can work with 40+ yr old Bernina machines right through to the latest 7 & 8 Series computerised Berninas. But NO, you don’t have to have a Bernina to join the class. Ladies join the class with all types of machines with old and new, big and small. 

This class is suitable for the novice machine quilter with some machine patchwork & piecing experience and basic knowledge of rulers, cutters and patchwork equipment. It is probably not for the total beginner unless you are confident and have discussed what the project involves first.  Deb is very experienced at helping experienced piecers who are timid but aspiring quilters through to the experienced maker who wants to go to the next level.

VISITING TUTOR REFUND POLICY: Due to the outlays we have for visiting tutors, we do not refund class fees once booked and paid for any reason including; change of mind, change of circumstances or illness. You may organise a replacement delegate in class if you can no longer attend but financial arrangements would need to be organised between the two of you. Please let us knew as soon as you know you can’t attend. We may have a waiting list and might be able to help fill your spot. If you do not attend and do not communicate with us, your payment is forfeit.
