Quilter’s Dream SELECT is a MID weight and consistent batting developed especially for hand quilters – ideal for fine micro-stitching with an excellent drape. Handle gently for making lovely domestic machine quilts. Can be used on the longarm when floating the top. Excellent for light-weight summer quilts, hand quilted projects, and wearables.
Quilters Dream Cotton starts with the finest USA cotton and is carded, crosslapped and specially needlepunched. 100% natural and environmentally friendly, the special production process prevents shifting and lumping. It has a very high thermal value (R=3.8) warm in the winter, yet wicks moisture away from the body to keep you cool in the summer.
Stitching up to 8″ apart allows quilters wonderful freedom of design. Because there are no scrim, glues, or other binders to add resistance, needles (by machine and hand) glide smoothly through the fine, consistent, even cotton batting. The finished quilt may be machine washed and dried. Shrinkage is minimal. Drapes beautifully giving a traditional look and feel to your quilt.
The wadding is sold online by the half metre and is 93″ or 236cm wide.
Add 10cm or 4 inches to each side of your quilt top to allow for the quilt to pull in as quilted.
Choose the quantity of half metres you require. Choosing a qty of 2 = 1m. Choosing a qty of 4 = 2m etc
