Description
This Slow Stitching kit contains everything you need to have a go at the popular Japanese Style Boro stitching, but in beautifully bright modern quilting fabric. There is enough fabric, thread, needles and stabiliser in the kit to make an approximately 38 x 45 cm square of Boro style fabric. We have also included an instruction sheet to help you get started and give you some ides of what to do with the Boro style fabric once you’re finished. If you haven’t tried this technique before don’t be worried! It is very forgiving. You can always give us a call if you get stuck.
Kit Contains:
- Approx 50 grams of mixed bright and modern fabric scraps
- 46cm x 38cm (18 x 15 inches) piece of weaveline fusible stabiliser
- 3 skeins of variegated Olympus Sashiko threads
- one pack of Olympus Sashiko Needles
- specially prepared instruction leaflet.
NOTE: All kits are a unique assortment of high quality quilting cotton fabrics similar in variety and vibrancy to those pictured. Each kit contains large and small colourful patterns, solids and a few fun novelty designs.
These kits make a great gift or travel project as they contain everything needed to make a completed piece of fabric without requiring a large stash to sort through.
Use your finished piece of Boro fabric to make a placemat, pieced into a table runner, to incorporate into a bag or stitch on to the back panel of your denim jacket! The world in your oyster- so to speak.
